Creamy Buttery Garlic Chicken

Creamy Garlic Chicken

PROCESS:

  • First, start by marinating pieces of chicken, letting them soak up spices and a splash of lemon juice.
  • As the chicken cooks, sauté onions and garlic to create rich and smooth sauce that beautifully ties everything together.
  • Finally, combine the chicken with the creamy sauce and garnish with chili flake and dried parsley.

Here’s what you are going to need to make it:

For Marinade:

1 Chicken Breast (cut into bite-sized pieces): Cutting it into smaller pieces helps it cook faster and soak up all the flavors.

1 tsp Paprika Powder: This adds a lovely smoky flavor and a nice color to the chicken. You can also chili powder if you like it spicy.

Salt (to taste or about 1/2 tsp): To enhance the flavors.

1/4 tsp Pepper: Adds a bit of spice without overwhelming the dish.

1 tbsp Lemon Juice: This adds a fresh, zesty flavor.

For Sauce:

1 tbsp Butter: Adds richness and helps sauté the onions and garlic.

1/2 Red Onion: Adds sweetness and depth to the sauce.

2-3 Cloves Garlic minced: Because more garlic is always a good idea! It brings amazing flavor and aroma.

1 tbsp All-Purpose Flour: This helps thicken the sauce, giving it a nice, creamy texture.

1/4 cup Milk: Adds creaminess and helps blend everything together.

Salt & Pepper: For seasoning the sauce to your liking.

1 tsp Chili Flakes: Gives a nice kick if you like a little heat!

1/2 tsp Dried Parsley: Adds a hint of herby flavor and a pop of color.

INGREDIENTS:

For Marinade:

  • 1 Chicken breast (cut bites size)
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder
  • Salt as per taste or 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

For Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 red onions
  • 2 -3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbs all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Dried parsley

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Marinating the Chicken

  • Start by cutting your chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. This helps it cook quickly and evenly. In a bowl, mix the chicken with the paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Make sure each piece is well coated. Let it marinate for about 15 to 30 minutes. This step is super important because it helps the chicken soak up all those delicious flavors!

Step 2: Cooking the chicken

  • Next, heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of butter and let it melt. Once the butter is bubbly, carefully add the marinated chicken to the pan. Cook it for about 7 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. You want it to be golden brown and fully cooked. Once it’s done, remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside on a plate.

Step 3: Sauté the Aromatics

  • In the same pan add another tablespoon of butter. Then, toss in the sliced red onion and minced garlic. Sauté them together for a few minutes until the onion becomes soft.

Step 4: Make the Sauce

  • Sprinkle the all-purpose flour into the pan and stir it continuously for about a minute until it turns a nice golden color. This helps cook off the raw flour taste. Gradually pour in the milk while stirring. Keep stirring to avoid lumps.

Step 5: Season the Sauce

  • Once the sauce is smooth, sprinkle in salt, pepper, chili flakes, and dried parsley. Stir everything together to combine. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. It should be savory with a hint of spice.

Step 6: Combine Everything

  • Now, add the cooked chicken back into the pan with the sauce. Give it a good stir to coat all the pieces with the creamy sauce. Let it simmer on low heat for about 3-4 minutes. This allows the chicken to soak up some of the sauce flavors, making every bite delicious.

Step 7: Garnish and Serve

  • Once it’s done, remove the pan from the heat. Sprinkle some extra chili flakes and dried parsley on top for a pop of color and flavor. Serve your creamy chicken over a bed of rice or with your favorite side.

Tips and Notes:

  • Letting the chicken sit for at least 15-30 minutes helps enhance its flavor and tenderness.
  • Make sure your pan is hot enough before adding the chicken. A good sizzle when the chicken hits the pan indicates it’s at the right temperature, helping to achieve a nice golden brown.
  • Garlic can burn quickly, so watch it closely while sautéing. If it starts to turn too dark, lower the heat to avoid a bitter taste in your sauce.
  • If the sauce gets too thick, you can add a splash of milk or chicken broth to loosen it up. Taste as you go to ensure it has the right balance of flavors.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. They’ll keep well for a few days, and the flavors will continue to develop, making it even tastier!
